| Presently we are measuring the response of Spruce trees to varying rates of micro-nutrient applications. This research is being used to understand a trees nutritional needs and how mico-nutrients help trees assimilate Macro-nutrients like N-P-K and Iron. This information will also lead to the understanding of seed production in trees and how to safely create nutrient imbalances to inhibit seed production. Initial observation indicate rapid growth reactions and increased root production without stress symptoms.
PAST RESEARCH
Turfgrass Utilization of Vegetable Processing Water
The project's objectives were to demonstrate effective wastewater management by allowing turfgrass sod, planted under sprinkler irrigation, to confirm its ability to extract and utilize the NH3, NO3 and chlorides found as a by product in wastewater of most vegetable processing plants. Monitoring of groundwater from strategically drilled test wells ensued to detect any nitrate leachate into the groundwater.
Common Denominators in the Failure of Tree Root Systems in Urban and Forest Setting. Additional Observation was conducted to observe the different denominators that lead to the failure of a tree's root system. Observations were made in the Urban setting and in the natural settings including National Parks, National Forests and Rural settings.
Benefactors of this knowledge include companies with electrical transmission lines, insurance companies, contractors, tree service companies, etc. |
